Golden Animals
Golden Animals have completed their debut album, " Free Your Mind And Win A
Pony." The album is 11 tracks deep, entrenched with pre-war blues
influenced, classic rock and roll. Fans of their sold out E.P. will dig the
sonic transition of this mystical, desert dwelling, rock and roll duo. Their
song-craft: savant, their sound: dynamic, their songs: timeless. Produced
by Chris Coady. (Yeah Yeah Yeah's, T.V On The Radio, Entrance) mixed by Thom Monahan
(Devendra Banhart, Vetiver) with additional support from Nadav
Eisenman, (RTX) Golden Animals' debut has a solid long player sound that
will stand the test of time. Prepare to get loaded on quality, rhythm and
blues. Please check the HappyParts store for pre-ordering for the CD and LP
(180 gram) limited 500 press. Tentative Mail Order and Digital release will be 7/1. Physical indie shop release 8/5.
In the mean time- you can find a track on Manimal
Vinyl's "Through The Wilderness: A Tribute to Madonna" release.
Pitchfork
called it a "dusty California guitar nugget. Golden Animals drop out the
chorus and rewrite 'Beautiful Stranger (Blues)' as Creedence Clearwater
Revival swamp blues."
Other Music first proclaimed,
"These guys are the living life." Stay tuned- Golden Animals delivered a true long player.
The Dilettantes
101 Tambourines
Dig this: you can check The Dilettantes'
MySpace page for
confirmed dates. Indie London raves "it's clear that the focus is on hooks
(circa Byrds, Stones, Moby Grape and all things '60s Britpop influenced), and lively vocals. "Subterranean Bazaar",
in particular, is a skuzzy romp that sends you into a spin of headrush proportions." "101 Tambourines" album was spun
like mad on sub modern US radio specialty shows, and college radio. The entire "101 Tambourines" album is steeped in
the grand tradition of California psych-rock. Indeed, there's much more to Joel Gion, than shaking tambourines. You'll
dig the transition. The band continues to support their release in the West with non-stop shows, up and down the coast.
By popular demand, The Dilettantes will travel to England and France for a club tour in the Spring of 2008. Shake some action.
