Sir Lord Von Raven

Sir Lord Von Raven a.k.a Eric Johnson (Time Flys) hailing from Oakland, via El Paso penned a rock and roll beauty, primed for true souls. Make no mistake - "Please Throw Me Back in the Ocean" is a sinful classic, featuring an all-star cast: Greg Ashley (Gris Gris), Chris Stroffolino (Silver Jews) Terry Six (Nice Boys) and Garrett Goddard (The Cuts, Howlin' Rain). Sir Lord Von Raven delivered a record collectors' record buried deep in that warm place between glam, psych and punk. It's an album for those who have been there, and dug that. Today's subterranean set is also invited: This is a modern-classic. After the 3rd listen - you'll be hooked. "I honestly don't think there's a bad song to be found on here and when Von Raven howls 'Maybe I'll jump in the river, maybe I'll cut out my liver' (on "I Keep on Tryin'") you have no doubt he absolutely means it." - Blurt

Impediments

Impediments debut has arrived. Their self-titled debut release was produced by indie rock's woozy recluse, Greg Ashley. With record collections far beyond their years - these bright young men know 'well-done' from crap. Keeping rock and roll louder, faster and dangerous - yet influenced by rock's rich historical underground (Zero Boys, Raspberries, and Terry Reid), Impediments are indeed, refined misfits. Let's face it, salad days are/were the best days - when we know/knew better, but we don't care. Impediments are currently booking their own national tour. Bookmark their MySpace for shows, songs and news. Impediments' raucous debut will be released at Summer's end. Be sure to pick up a copy on 1st pressing - as this LP is destined for E-Bay, baby. Nothing can change the shape of things to come.

Keep an eye on Golden Animals' MySpace for tour dates, news, video and live recordings from their shows. Chris Coady (Yeah Yeah Yeah's, T.V On The Radio, Entrance) produced their acclaimed debut, and it was mixed by Thom Monahan (Devendra Banhart, Vetiver, Entrance) with additional support from Nadav Eisenman (RTX), "The Golden State band Golden Animals mine that particular epoch of mild psych and blues rock - especially the middle part, when 60s idealism gave way to the dope-daze haze of the 70s - Pitchfork
